Government Degree College was established in the year 2008 to serve the people of Satyavedu constituency. Satyavedu is a unique place with a beautiful topography and a cross cultural demography. Though it is located between two large cities such as Chennai and Tirupati most of the people do not have access to higher education due to lack of proper transport facilities.
We at GDC Satyavedu understand the needs of the local community and try to provide the best of our services despite many hurdles. Apart from offering regular courses with experienced faculty, we provide skill development courses through various government schemes such as Jawahar Knowledge Center, APSSDC, IIT Spoken Tutorial, UDEMY, Swayam etc. We take advantage of the close proximity of Sri City SEZ, Chennai and try to provide employment opportunities to the people of Satyavedu.
